I always like the gates and fences, but I especially like those cast iron cut outs that tell something about the place. I think we need to do that at the end of our drive. That would be pretty unusual around here.

I am humming the theme song to Rawhide.. you might not be old enough to remember that show. i loved it and the cowboy and cows on the top made me think of it.

Bob Scotney said...

Great entrance but is it used? It looks slightly overgrown and the tracks from the house doon't appear to lead to it.

Roan said...

I like the cattle drive against those clouds. Doesn't look like the gate is used much.

indeed another lovely one.

I like the detail of the cows and horse on top of this one too.

dramatic skies too.

Linda Kay said...

Lots of detail, and I like the fact that you can at least see something at the end of the road. So many of these ranches show an entrance to who knows where.

Rose said...

Oh, this is a nice one...we just don't see many like this around here.

I like the detail across the top. :) happy day to you!!

Another artistic gate ... I wonder if the same person does all of these in your area or if you are surronded by talented people like yourself. This is awesome, I agree ... I would be admiring it as well.

I do so like personal entrances like this one. The rider on the horse and the cattle are great. I'm guessing they have a cattle ranch. Looks like a big place.

The more I see of these ranch gates and fences, the more I wish we did that kind of thing up north. This one is way cool.

Wayne (Woody), whatever said...

It doesn't look like that gate is used much, the grass is pretty tall (or is it a tumbleweed?). I like the sign with the rancher following the cows.

Stephanie Faris said...

I like it. Something about the sign tells me it's a place someone really loves.

Stephen Hayes said...

I like the flow of figures with the letters below.

Paula said...

I like it but I see several have already noticed there is dry grass in front of the gate so probably not used much lately. That's the way it is where John's cows are. One gate used a lot, one used in hunting season, and another not used much.

pattisjarrett said...

I also enjoy seeing the cut-outs. At first I thought that was an oil well at the end, then had second thoughts.

That's a beauty! It looks as if the ranch driveway isn't used anymore, based on the grass on it! I hope it doesn't fall into disrepair.

This gate doesn't look like it gets allot of use judging by the grass grown up under it... Love the detailed cutouts across the top!

The actual road does not look well used. I hope the Kelly's are okay. :)
